2025–2026 Award Year

The Stepping Stone Scholarship is a tuition-only award up to 100% tuition assistance per course.

This scholarship supports students enrolling in at least 12 hours a week who intend to enter the workforce in their chosen field immediately after graduation.

About the Scholarship

• Awarding: Tuition amounts are determined by financial need (via FAFSA) and disbursed in two installments.

• FAFSA Ineligibility: Students who do not qualify for FAFSA may still potentially qualify for tuition coverage.

• Timing: Scholarships cannot be backdated and begin at the time of the award.

• Automation Technology

• Business

• Diesel Technology / Heavy Equipment Technician

• Information Technology / Software Development

• Law Enforcement Officer / Special Functions Officer

• Medical Assistant / Nursing Assistant

• Pharmacy Technician / Practical Nursing

• Welding Technology

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the Stepping Stone Scholarship, students must:

1. Apply for FAFSA at studentaid.gov, listing Tooele Technical College.

2. Meet all college admission requirements.

3. Complete the scholarship application.

4. Enroll as a Certificate Seeking Student in an eligible program.

5. Maintain enrollment of at least 12 hours per week.

6. Maintain a minimum of 67% Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).

7. Be a High School Graduate or GED completer at the time of application.
