Build Skills That Matter.

The Nail Technician program teaches you how to give manicures, pedicures, and nail enhancements in salons. You’ll learn nail art, artificial nails, hand and foot massage, salon safety, and how to care for nails and skin. The program also covers professional ethics and salon rules. After finishing, you’ll be ready to take the state exams to become a licensed nail technician.

Admission Requirements

  • Students must be attending High School or provide a High School Diploma (or Equivalent, i.e., GED) to enroll in the program. High school students must be in at least the 11th grade.

  • Students must provide their High School Transcripts, showing at least 8th-grade math and a 11th grade reading with a 'C' grade or better and be able to document an 18 or higher on their ACT scores for both math and reading; or take the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) scoring at least a 4 for the math portion and at least a 5 for the reading.

  • Students must be at least 16 years old
