Build Skills That Matter.
The Commercial Drivers’ License Class A Course teaches students the skills needed to become safe, entry-level truck drivers. You’ll learn classroom theory, practice backing up, and get behind-the-wheel training on public roads. The course helps you meet federal and state rules while building confidence on the road.

Instructors
Admission Requirements
Students are required to be 18 years or older, preferably 21 years old or older. It is recommended the student discuss prospective employment opportunities with the instructors if they are under the age of 21.
At the time of enrollment, students must provide:
A current CDL Learner's Permit
A valid state drivers license at a minimum of one year old,
A current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR),
A current Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam,
A current background check.
Be currently registered with FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
Because of the CDL Learner's Permit exams, Tooele Technical College is waiving the basic skills assessments and will not be assessing grades, ACT scores, or previous courses completed for enrollment in this program.
Certificate seeking students will need to provide doumentation of a high school diploma or GED.
