Hours: This is a full-time position

What you’ll do:

The Head Custodian is responsible for maintaining a professional looking building. The Head Custodian performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled custodial duties ranging from operating equipment to unskilled laboring tasks such as but not limited to: setup and take down for events, operating a forklift and floor equipment, and other maintenance duties as assigned. The Head Custodian assists the Facilities Director with supervising and scheduling custodial staff.

What we’re looking for:

• High School Diploma, or equivalent

• Three years of previous experience which must include working with varied maintenance operations/procedures, trade practices, custodial service techniques, equipment operation, and supervisory functions

• Must successfully pass a criminal background check, possess a valid driver's license issued by the State of Utah, and have an acceptable driving record

• Sense of pride and ownership in work is essential

• Requires frequent physical exertion including lifting up to 75 lbs., bending, reaching, kneeling, and walking

• Knowledge of cleaning supplies, chemicals, cleaning, and safety best practices

• Operating a variety of tools and equipment

• Ability to work with little supervision; be organized and able to track a variety of assignments simultaneously

• Requires ability to work a flexible work schedule as needed

• Requires demonstrated ability to work with individuals of all racial, ethnic, and social-economic backgrounds

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written
